Reflecting On A Remarkable Year At NBS Underwriting

As the year draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks and reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had at NBS Underwriting throughout 2023. This year has been nothing short of amazing, characterised by innovation and substantial growth.
Our growth story is one of immense pride. With a GWP now approaching £100 million and a team of 90 skilled professionals spread across five locations in the UK and Ireland, our expansion has been both in size and expertise. We’ve welcomed talented underwriters, strengthened our commitment to making our brokers’ lives easier, and positioned ourselves for an even more exciting 2024.
This year saw strategic acquisitions—’The Underwriting Specialist’ fully integrated into the NBS family, and ‘Capital Markets Underwriting’ coming onboard, broadening our product portfolio to include Professional Indemnity and Commercial Combined insurance. These additions strengthen our ability to offer innovative insurance solutions.
While our growth trajectory since 2020 has been impressive, it’s the initiatives implemented over the past 12 months that have propelled us even further, resulting in a substantial increase in our GWP. This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to the trust placed in us by our brokers.
Of course, growth presents challenges, but challenges we’ve met head-on. Scaling our operations to meet surging demands has been both challenging and invigorating. We’ve adapted, ensuring we continue to meet your needs while upholding the high service standards that define us.
As we conclude this year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our valued partners, for your unwavering support and trust in NBS. Your partnership forms the cornerstone of our success, and we eagerly anticipate the opportunities that 2024 will bring as we further develop and expand our product offerings.
