Food & Eateries Scheme Now Covers Food Kiosks and Food Courts

We’re delighted to let you know that we’ve widened our appetite, with food courts and food kiosks now covered under our Food & Eateries products. Our long-established Food & Eateries scheme includes our restaurants, takeaways, cafés, and fish & chip shops products, and these have been widened to include these increasingly popular trading styles.
Food kiosks and food courts have become a familiar part of the UK food and hospitality market, offering quick service and variety for customers. Their popularity reflects how this sector continues to evolve, and we’re pleased to ensure that brokers can arrange cover for these operations with the same confidence and efficiency as for restaurants and cafés.
Kiosks and food court vendors aren’t treated as a separate product. When arranging a quotation, simply select the most appropriate option within the Food & Eateries range — usually “restaurant” for most food court premises or “café” for smaller or standalone kiosks.

While we previously accepted only establishments rated 3 or above, we’re now able to consider businesses with lower ratings on a case-by-case basis. This gives brokers and their clients greater flexibility when placing risks and supports a wider range of food operations.
By broadening our appetite, we’ve made it easier for brokers to arrange suitable cover for clients in this part of the market. There’s no need for a special product or workaround – you can continue to use the portal as normal and place kiosks and food court vendors within the Food & Eateries suite.
