Giving back is an important part of NBS, and each year the Charity of the Year initiative brings colleagues together to support meaningful causes, raise vital funds, and make a real difference to communities that need it most.
In 2025, Bradford Baby Bank was proudly supported as our Charity of the Year. The charity plays a vital role in reducing the impact of poverty on vulnerable young families and children by providing essential early years items to those who need them most.
Throughout the year, colleagues supported the charity in a variety of ways. Alongside fundraising activities, teams also collected baby and children’s essential items, including everyday necessities that families often struggle to afford.
Through fundraising activities alone, a total of £1,462 was raised for Bradford Baby Bank. For a small charity, every contribution makes a genuine difference, and this fundraising — combined with the donated essential items — will help ensure families receive the support they need at a crucial time.
Looking ahead to 2026, our Charity of the Year will be Insurance United Against Dementia — an industry-wide movement created and championed by leaders across insurance, in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society.
In 2026, the aim is to raise even more funds, with a number of fundraising events planned throughout the year, while also bringing colleagues together and having fun along the way. If you’d like to read more about Insurance United Against Dementia, you can find details here:
